Hyper-V provides software infrastructure and basic management tools to create and manage a virtualized server computing environment. Hyper-V in Windows Server 2012 R2 enables the creation of a virtualized server computing environment. With the VM created under the physical server linked to Hyper-V Manager, selecting the server from the Virtual Machines section will allow actions to be executed on the VM itself and let you. These are events form the Virtualization Infrastructure Driver. Look here if you experience issues with memory assignment, e.g. Dynamic memory, or changing static memory while the VM is running. Enable Hyper-V to create virtual machines on Windows 10. Hyper-V can be enabled in many ways including using the Windows 10 control panel, PowerShell or using the Deployment Imaging Servicing and Management tool (DISM). This documents walks through each option. To resolve this issue add the following to the VMware workstation's.vmx file for the Hyper-V guest and restart. Hypervisor.cpuid.v0 = “FALSE” This information came from the following blog.

Windows Server 2008 (R2) vNIC incompabilities 03/17/2018
The Security Updates KB4088875 and KB4088878 for Windows Server 2008 (R2) have incompatibility issues with VMs running on VMware vSphere. These patches replace the existing virtual network card (vNIC) with a new one, hide the pre-existing vNIC and do not persist or transfer the existing IP Address configuration to the new vNIC. For details, check this blog.
Meltdown and Spectre Vulnerabilities01/05/2018
Like most other vendors, also VMware has released patches for the recently identified vulnerabilities in microprocessors, code named Spectre (CVE-2017-5753, CVE-2017-5715) and Meltdown (CVE-2017-5754).
Please see VMware Advisory page https://www.vmware.com/us/security/advisories/VMSA-2018-0002.html for further instructions in particular to the Spectre vulnerability, whereas the following blog confirms that ESXi and related VMware products are not affected by Meltdown vulnerability: https://blogs.vmware.com/security/2018/01/vmsa-2018-0002.html.

Due to a known issue affecting VMware NSX for vSphere 6.2.x with ESXi 6.0 P03 (Build 4192238) we recommend to consult VMware support before upgrading to the affected combination of products. See VMware KB 2146873 for further information.
VMware vSphere 6: Performance Degradation due to High Network Latency08/09/2016
You are using VMware vSphere 6.0. After changing the virtual machine hardware version to 11, you experience performance degradation of different intensity in network dependent workloads (this includes database access). Every network packet has up to a 0.5 second delay over the expected arrival in the application. Check SAP Note 2293740 for further information.
