Solved byOct 16, 2014 21:23 Hi! I've been using Power Director 12 Deluxe for 4 months and now I have a new computer. Can I install the product on the new computer using the same activation key? Should I uninstall it from the old computer first?

Oct 17, 2014 10:10 My recommendation is to always backup any downloaded program you buy on the internet. In the first place, the links for downloads do not last forever. New programs are released and the old links are removed.

External Hard drives are cheap storage and have Gigabytes of storage, I have been seeing up to 6 TB of Hard drive storage for little money.External hard drives are maybe the best solution, but if you have a Bluray burner drive, BD single layer disks are 25 GB. You can burn your downloaded programs onto a Bluray disk. BD DL is 50 GB.
For Powerdirector, I burn a DVD disk of the downloaded install files and include the email with the CD Key. I have done so for every Powerdirector version I own that was a downloaded program.
Director Suite 3 (PD 13) was so large, it required a Double Layer DVD to hold all of the files.
